Regarding “Merchants Hope World Cup Kick-Starts Slow Economy,” May 31:
If our merchants, restaurants and concessions would recognize that most foreigners would patronize our businesses more if they could smoke on all premises, we could anticipate a much better economic impact.
We must be mindful that we cannot impose terrible restrictions on our guests. Let us be generous in our hospitality, and we shall reap the benefits.
