Unemployment Rate Steady at 2.2%: The jobless rate averaged 2.2% for February, March and April, the government said. A Labor Force Statistics report said the provisional seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for the April-June quarter was 1.9%. “The labor market has tightened up slightly in recent months,” the government said.
