Regarding “Norway’s Magnetic North” (June 12): I do not know why the Los Angeles Times touts Norway as a travel destination when, for the second year in a row, Norway is whaling on minke whales (smallest baleen whale), in violation of the 1986 moratorium on whaling and despite universal censure. Lofoten should not be a tourist destination until Norway ceases whaling.
