Orders for Export Goods Rise: The increase was 10.8% on the year in June, as the yen’s appreciation against the new Taiwan dollar made the island’s products more attractive to Japanese buyers, the government said. Taiwan companies received $7.75 billion in export orders in June, the Ministry of Economic Affairs said. Japan’s export orders to Taiwan companies increased 22.3% on the year last month to $931 million, the ministry said.
