Heslington, Goneau Promoted; Adelman to Head Analytic

Alan Adelman has been appointed president and chief executive of Irvine-based Analytic Investment Management Inc. Before joining Analytic Investment, Adelman, 40, was chief investment officer of First Interstate Bank of California, with overall responsibility for First Interstate’s $10.4-billion investment management division. Analytic Investment Management, a pioneer in managing derivative securities, has about $1.2 billion in assets under management. Adelman succeeds Sheen Kassouf, who continues as chairman, and Alan Lewis will remain as chief investment officer and director of research.
