Czech Victims of Nazis Will Be Compensated

Reuters

The Czech Cabinet on Wednesday approved a gesture to compensate Czechs who were held in Nazi concentration camps during World War II.

The government will give a one-time payment of $82 for every month of detention to Czechs imprisoned by the Nazis during the 1938-1945 German occupation of Czechoslovakia. The payment will be made to surviving spouses of former prisoners who have died but not to their children.
