MC Mickey

I was saddened and disgusted to see that the Walt Disney Co. has dropped its standard of decency and good taste. Having our beloved Disney characters emulate the national tragedy of juvenile gangsterism is not cute (“Ready for MC Mickey?,” Sept. 15). The incredible insensitivity of showing Mickey Mouse “dressed down” in gang clothing is appalling. Children have been murdered by gunfire in our city simply because they were unknowingly dressed in the manner of a local gang.

If Walter could see his beloved Mickey flashing gang signs with underwear deliberately showing, he would fire the entire Disney Records division.
