Advantage Life Products Inc.: The company said Monday that Guthy-Renker Corp., a Palm Desert infomercial marketing company, has purchased 200,000 shares of newly issued common stock with an option to buy an additional 400,000 shares in 1999.

A spokesman for the Irvine hair products manufacturer said the $150,000 investment is a commitment by Guthy-Renker to work with Advantage Life in future ventures. In May, the two companies teamed to market Advantage Life’s hair extension product, Secret Hair, through infomercials.
