Eyeglass Firm to Acquire Lens Maker: Benson Eyecare Corp., a distributor of sunglasses and over-the-counter reading glasses, said it will pay $140 million in cash and stock to acquire Optical Radiation Corp. Optical Radiation, which had sales of $158 million in fiscal 1993, makes lenses for eyeglasses and grinds them to fill prescriptions for independent opticians and optometrists. Benson has annual sales of about $150 million.
