Italian Firm to Build MD-95 Parts: McDonnell Douglas Corp. said Alenia, a manufacturing arm of Italy’s state-owned Finmeccanica group, will produce the fuselages for McDonnell’s proposed 100-seat MD-95 commercial jetliner. McDonnell, which currently builds its airliners in Long Beach, is expected to announce plans soon for assembling the MD-95 in Texas. Alenia is a longtime supplier to McDonnell.
