Rio Mesa 37, Hueneme 28--The Spartans took a 21-0 first-quarter lead at Hueneme en route to its first victory of the season. Rashod Rose rushed for 152 yards in 24 carries with one touchdown for Rio Mesa (1-8, 1-5).

Ronney Jenkins of Hueneme (2-7, 0-6) rushed for 129 yards in 20 carries and scored a touchdown on a 97-yard kickoff return.
