That contrasted with profit of $351,314, or 4 cents a share, for the same period last year. Sales were 25% higher, rising to $8.6 million from $6.9 million. The company lost $392,207, or 4 cents a share, for the nine-month period, in contrast to a profit of $656,645, or 7 cents a share, reported for the comparable three quarters last year. Nine-month sales were up 30% to $23.1 million from $17.8 million.
