Having gone to considerable lengths to stress serious concerns regarding trail-safety issues, I was most disappointed to see our most pertinent argument was edited from my statement in the Nov. 14 In the Neighborhood (“Arroyo Seco: Whose Needs Come First?”)

Although we are by no means the only folks to object to changing the standing ordinance (restricting bikes on trails), we are the group that would be most severely impacted by the very real danger of serious accidents that can--and have--occurred with the advent of bicycles onto hiking/bridle trails.
