A Patient Thankful for Surgical Teams

My compliments to Kathleen Doheny and Paul Morse for “Team Players” (Nov. 29).

Having received a triple bypass in August, I thank God for the team players my doctor David Minna helped assemble at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center. I always had the feeling that I, the patient, came first.

I assure you I offered prayers of thanksgiving that they paid attention in medical school to be able to perform the miracle of saving my life. I say to the surgical teams existing now and to those studying medicine, thank you for your dedication and God bless you.
