Koll Real Estate Group Ordered to Pay IRS: The Internal Revenue Service ordered the home builder to pay $20.8 million to settle a tax dispute. Newport Beach-based Koll was sued earlier this year by Abex Inc. and Wheelabrator Technologies Inc. All three companies are former subsidiaries of Henley Group Inc. The tax dispute is related to Henley Group’s sale in 1988 of a stake in the Santa Fe Southern Pacific railway. Koll said it intends to appeal.
