3 Prisoners Escape During Guards’ Party

MANILA — Three prisoners awaiting trial broke out of jail while their guards were busy having a Christmas Eve party, police said Tuesday.
The three men, charged with murder and car theft, sawed the padlock on their cell door at the municipal prison in Zambales, 80 miles north of Manila, and fled into the night.
