CRENSHAW : Jan. 20 Is Deadline for Quake Claims

Residents have until Jan. 20--the Friday after the anniversary of the Jan. 17, 1994, Northridge quake--to register for disaster assistance.

Assistance is available under the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Disaster Housing Assistance Program, the state-administered Individual and Family Grant Program and the Small Business Administration’s disaster loan programs for homeowners, renters and business owners.

Residents may register at the Crenshaw area Earthquake Service Center at 3420 W. Jefferson Blvd., or by calling (800) 462-9029. Hearing- and speech-impaired people may call the TDD number, (800) 462-7585.
