Health: Cancer Society Fills Post

A Pacific Palisades resident has been appointed to the American Cancer Society’s Los Angeles Regional Council.
Joe Hartnett, vice president of the Phelps Group, a public relations firm, will serve as chairman of the nominating committee for the regional council. The nominating committee screens candidates for the regional council.
Hartnett, a cancer survivor, has volunteered with the Cancer Society for 10 years.
