Unocal to Move 250 Workers Out of California: The Los Angeles-based company will move the geologists, geophysicists and other professionals from Southern California to offices in Sugar Land, Tex., the Houston Chronicle reported. The move will be Unocal Corp.’s third expansion of those offices in the last five years and will increase staffing there by more than a third, to 950. Unocal will move workers from its business development, worldwide exploration and oil and gas operations groups, parts of which are already in Sugar Land, which is south of Houston.
