HomeBase: The warehouse-style home improvement chain said that it will open two new stores Saturday. The new stores, in Albuquerque, N.M., and Orem, Utah, will give the Irvine-based unit of Waban Inc. a total of 79 stores. Publicly traded Waban, with headquarters in Massachusetts, is the holding company for HomeBase and the BJ’s Wholesale Club membership store chain in the Northeastern states.
