OXNARD/PORT HUENEME : 9 Are Arrested in Raids on 14 Homes

Law enforcement officers in Oxnard and Port Hueneme conducted raids Thursday in response to six recent gang-related shootings, arresting nine people and seizing gang paraphernalia.
Officers from both departments and officials with the county’s district attorney and probation offices searched 14 residences throughout the two cities, authorities said.
Nine people were arrested on a variety of charges, including five juveniles.
Oxnard residents Clemencio Ramirez, 18, Anthony Bates, 19, and Eugene Ortega, 19, were arrested for violating probation. Anthony Orales, 26, of Oxnard was arrested on three misdemeanor warrants and for resisting arrest, police said.
