VENTURA : Woman, 81, Killed Crossing the Street

An 81-year-old Ventura woman died when she was struck by a delivery truck as she crossed the street Saturday morning, police said.
Young Baik was walking across Thompson Boulevard near her home on Palm Street about 6:30 a.m. Saturday when she was hit by an eastbound truck. She died at the scene from a combination of injuries, police said.
Ventura investigators are looking at the incident, police said. Police did not release the name of the truck driver.
