Most Convenient Airports

Below are the 15 most convenient airports in Europe and North America, based on a survey of 30,000 travelers in 1994. Travelers were asked to rate airports in 19 service categories, including ease of making connections; ground transportation, customs and immigration proceedings, availability of connecting flights, baggage delivery, waiting areas and restaurants and shops. Three West Coast airports, Seattle, Vancouver and Los Angeles place No. 17, 20 and 23, respectively, and New York’s Kennedy ranked last at No. 31. *

Travelers were asked to rate airports on each service element on a scale of one to 10. The results are an average of those scores.
