The Night the Lights Went Out in Cicely

Re “The Lights Slowly Dim on ‘Northern Exposure’ ”: Oh my, what a shame! I will miss the good writing, the interesting characters, the beautiful glimpses of a quieter, more natural human habitat, especially when viewed from L.A.

I loved a bear named Arthur, a backdrop of Jonah’s whale, a time-travel segment, a visit by Mother Nature in one scene and above all, the constant harrangue between Joel and Maggie.

My thanks to not only the writers, the producers, the sponsors but to the actors, who worked together to produce such a lovely series.
