Wave Power Project to Be Unveiled: The commercial power station in Scotland is said to be the first driven by wave action, and the company pioneering it says it has sparked overseas interest. The structure, called Osprey, converts waves into electrical energy. It will be launched Wednesday on the River Clyde and towed to a site off northern Scotland. The Osprey (for ocean swell-powered renewable energy) will be sunk about 300 yards offshore and plugged into Britain’s electricity grid at Dounreay after a couple of months of tests and fine tuning. The project has cost $5.6 million so far for construction and research.
