Role of Times Executive Expands: S. Keating Rhoads, senior vice president of operations for the Los Angeles Times, has been appointed to the new position of senior vice president of operations and technology at the newspaper. The appointment was announced by Richard T. Schlosberg III, publisher and chief executive of The Times, which is owned by Times Mirror Co. Rhoads assumes responsibility for the newspaper’s three information systems divisions--business systems, publishing systems and editorial systems--and continues to be responsible for all production operations at The Times.
