DIABOLICAL

I am disgusted by director Jeremiah Chechik’s cavalier attitude in dismissing the French film classic “Diabolique” as a dated, irrelevant film that is showing its age (Film Clips, Sept. 10). He claims that the script for his remake starring Sharon Stone is “a thousand times more relevant, interesting and complex than the original movie.” All this from the man who brought us the cinematic masterpiece “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.”
