Contrary to the massive generalizations and depressing tone of Breslauer’s article and Laurie Winer’s dialogue, my husband and I find much that is absolutely first-rate and out-of-the-ordinary in our theatergoing excursions, very much on a par with offerings presented in Seattle, Chicago and New York, where we’ve also lived.
