Two-time Cy Young Award winner Bret Saberhagen, 31, had arthroscopic surgery to repair ligament damage in his pitching shoulder. Saberhagen, a right-hander acquired from the New York Mets on July 31, also had dead tissue removed from his rotator cuff and shoulder area by Dr. David Altchek in New York.
