* Two front-page headlines Nov. 14 say it all for this tony enclave of the Republican Party, “O.C. Pays PR Firm $25,000 to Boost Image” and “An Uncharitable Record.” Hmm, where better to waste $25,000 than throw it into the arms of a PR firm rather than in the lap of a needy family. Ah, but therein lies the rainbow; perhaps the image-polishing will result in some leftover “cake” for the public to eat.
