Artists are transforming the Huntington Beach Art Center into a “mythical grove” for a Masked Ball dinner-dance Saturday from 7 p.m. to midnight. There’ll be live jazz by the Charles Rutherford Quartet and recorded music for dancing. Toys and gifts made by artists will be on sale. Attire will be “formal or festive” and masks--for those who don’t bring their own--will be available at the door. $50, all proceeds benefit the center (538 Main St., Huntington Beach).
