Anders, Stafford Commit to Play for UC Irvine

IRVINE — Shannon Anders and Megan Stafford have signed letters of intent to play women’s basketball at UC Irvine, the university announced Wednesday.

Anders is a 5-foot-9 forward from Grapevine (Tex.) Southlake Carroll High. She averaged 22.6 points and 5.2 rebounds last season. She is a two-time district most valuable player.

Stafford is a 5-7 guard from Rohnert Park Ursuline High. She averaged 19.8 points and 8.0 assists last season. She was a two-time most valuable player in the North Bay League.
