Cerplex Group Seeks to Acquire Xerox Unit

TUSTIN — Cerplex Group Inc. said it has begun negotiations to acquire Rank Xerox Ltd.’s electronics repair and refurbishment operations in northern France. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Rank Xerox, which has 670 employees, is owned by Xerox Corp. and Rank Organisation Plc. Tustin-based Cerplex, which repairs and upgrades electronics equipment primarily for the computer and telecommunications industries, said it expects to complete the acquisition by the end of the first quarter of 1996.
