MTA Tunneling

“In the Hot Seat,” Dec. 25:
I commend The Times on its coverage of the MTA Red Line. However, I’d like to point out that in the Hollywood Hills the proposed subway tunnels are located less than 100 feet below many people’s residences! (Mine is only 70 feet.) The 800-foot depth mentioned in many articles refers to residences at the top of the hills.
