Styles on Video to End Beauty Imaging Business

Styles on Video, a Newbury Park producer of a computer system used in beauty salons, will discontinue its main beauty imaging and franchising business to focus on its baby-photography and software operations.

While winding down, Styles will continue to service the system, which alters a customer’s picture to show how the customer would look with different hairstyles and hair colors.

In the future, Styles plans to focus on Forever Yours Inc., a business that photographs newborn infants in hospitals, and Dycam Inc., a maker of photography software.

“We feel the potential remains in these two companies and not in the Styles on Video product line,” company spokeswoman Julie Barker told Bloomberg Business News. She added that the Styles on Video line is “not providing any profit value.”
