More Starbucks Stores Brewing: Starbucks Corp. said it’s stepping up its store openings in the U.S. for fiscal 1996, to 300 stores from 275. Seattle-based Starbucks, the largest U.S. purveyor of gourmet coffee, said that in the 21 weeks ended Feb. 25, it had opened 105 Starbucks stores and converted one Coffee Connection store, bringing the company’s total number of stores to 778.
