Pacific Enterprises to Buy Argentine Gas Stakes: The Los Angeles-based parent of Southern California Gas Co. said it has agreed to buy a 12.5% interest in each of two Argentine natural gas utility holding companies for $48.5 million. The investments would be the first for Pacific Enterprises in a natural gas distribution system outside the United States. The stake will be bought from Citicorp Equity Investments, the Argentine investment vehicle of Citicorp. The stake represents half of Citicorp’s 25% stake in the two holding companies. The holding companies are Sodigas Pampeana and Sodigas Sur. The transaction is expected to close April 10.
