Mechanic Dies in Jet’s Wing

WASHINGTON — A United Airlines mechanic died Thursday inside the wing of a Boeing 767 jet at Dulles International Airport when he was overcome by fumes while repairing a fuel tank, a company spokesman said. The mechanic was identified as Timothy Carter, 37.
