Hawaii Bill Recognizes Pearl Harbor Survivors

HONOLULU — U.S. military survivors of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941, may soon be able to sport “Pearl Harbor Survivor” license plates on their cars. A bill that calls for the special plates was sent to Gov. Ben Cayetano. To qualify, applicants must certify that they were serving in the military on Oahu or not more than three miles offshore at the time of the attack.
