David Letterman’s show used to be like a high-wire act with no net (“Dave’s World of Doubt,” by Verne Gay, April 28). Now there’s a net and the wire is about two feet off the ground, if that.

Sorry, Dave, your “edge” is gone and so am I (obviously along with a lot of other formerly loyal viewers).
