Too Soon to Write Off Dana Hills High Athletics

I am a Dana Hills student and I am very upset.

Dana Hills High School has the brawn and the brains of the Capistrano Unified School District. It seems as if Chris Foster’s brain cells got contaminated along with the gymnastics mat and are now unable to function properly. What Foster wrote about Dana Hills in his column (March 26) was ignorant and insulting. I admit the last few years have been a struggle for certain sports programs, but not all athletics.

Some teams are young and just need a little time to develop. I wouldn’t throw the towel in for Dana Hills’ sports just yet. Those who criticize now will surely soon be biting their tongues.
