The school superintendent in Landover, Md., reversed himself and said he will reinvite Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas to speak at a middle school award ceremony. “There is always room for compromise on an issue such as this,” said Prince George’s County School Supt. Jerome Clark. Earlier this week--after opposition from three school board members--Clark rescinded the invitation that the school’s principal had extended to Thomas. A Supreme Court spokeswoman said Thomas has no comment on the matter.
