Tavis Smiley to Sign, Discuss ‘Hard Left’

Fresh from duties as a commentator and analyst at the Republican National Convention, Tavis Smiley, Los Angeles-based author and radio and television commentator, will be reading from and signing copies of his book “Hard Left: Straight Talk About the Wrongs of the Right” on Wednesday at the Midnight Special bookstore in Santa Monica at 7:30 p.m.

The reading, signing and question-and-answer session that follows will be televised on C-SPAN, in its “About Books” segment, which also has taped similar events for books written by Colin Powell and Newt Gingrich.
