Subpoena Reports Discounted: Executives of Philip Morris Cos. haven’t been subpoenaed and aren’t facing indictment in a Justice Department investigation of the company, a senior vice president said Sunday on CBS’ “Face the Nation.” “We have received requests from the Justice Department for testimony and for documents. We have cooperated,” Stephen Parrish said. Several grand juries across the U.S. are looking into whether tobacco companies’ officers made false statements in telling Congress that they believed nicotine in cigarettes wasn’t addictive. News reports Friday said Philip Morris executives had been subpoenaed.
