Bank Center Opens: Inner-city, small-business owners can get information on financing and entrepreneurial training at Operation Hope Banking Center, 3721 S. La Brea Ave. The recently opened center is run by Operation Hope, a nonprofit economic development corporation, with help from 34 lending institutions and companies. Computer training for small-business owners will be provided soon, along with online banking help for individuals and assistance for those applying for home, student and personal loans.
