‘Terminal Velocity’

A rousing, good-looking action-adventure with romance and comedy, this 1994 release couldn’t be more up to the minute, yet its pleasures hark back to movies’ earliest days of exuberant, lightning-fast, cliffhanging serials of the silent era. Against mounting danger, director Deran Sarafian creates imaginative and amusing characters for Charlie Sheen (pictured) and leading lady Nastassja Kinski to play to the hilt (Showtime Saturday a 9:40 a.m. and 6 p.m.).
