Getty Trust Fund Gives Art Grants

The J. Paul Getty Trust Fund for the Visual Arts has awarded its annual $15,000 grants to each of five area artists.
Painters Roy Dowell, Ben Sakoguchi and Megan Williams are recipients, together with installation artists Daniel J. Martinez and Jennifer Steinkamp.
The Getty Trust Fund also awarded a total of $95,000 in program and operational grants to seven local institutions, including funds for exhibitions by sculptor Noah Purifoy at the California Afro-American Museum and painter Carole Caroompas at the Otis Art Institute.
