Some broadcast and cable programs reinforce the teaching of subjects in the California public schools curriculum. Here are some weekend home-viewing tips:

* Friday. “Talking With David Frost” (KCET, Channel 28, 9-10 p.m.) is an in-depth interview about the Mideast peace process with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

* Saturday. “The South Bank Show” (Bravo, cable, 4-5:30 p.m.). The late ballet legend Dame Margot Fonteyn narrated a profile of her life and work.

* Sunday. “Future Fantastic” (Learning Channel, cable, 10-11 p.m.). The premiere of a new “Science Frontiers” miniseries focuses on the close relationship between science fact and science fiction, hosted by Gillian Anderson, star of “The X-Files.” Subsequent episodes air 10-11 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and March 6.
