Sunstone Hotel Investors Inc.: The San Clemente hotel real estate investment trust reported that first-quarter net income rose to $3.4 million, or 23 cents a share, from $1.3 million, or 21 cents a share, for the 1996 first quarter. Revenue more than doubled to $7.8 million from $3.2 million.
