Resident Suffers Smoke Inhalation

A man whose Thousand Oaks house caught fire Tuesday afternoon was treated for smoke inhalation at Columbia Los Robles Hospital, fire officials said.
The house, located in the 3800 block of Calle Alta Vista, caught fire about 10 a.m., county fire officials said. Six firetrucks responded to the alarm, and firefighters put out the fire in 20 minutes.
Officials estimate there was $10,000 in structural damage and $20,000 in damage to the contents.
The owner of the house was not identified. There were no other injuries.
Cause of the fire is under investigation.
